Holker performed in Earth, Wind and Fire's opening and closing ceremonies for the Olympic Games 2002. She also performed in Walt Disney's High School Musical 2 and High School Musical. She appeared in several commercials. The actress also made it to the Top 8 during the second season So You Think You Can Dance and participated in The SYTYCD tour. Louis Van Amstel choreographed a show called Ballroom with a Twist. She also performed with Holker as well as Clay Aiken, American Idol's Clay Aiken, in the PBS special Tried and True. Holker was also featured in the music video "Jar of Hearts" produced performed by Christina Perri. Holker danced Demi Lovato in the back throughout September/October 2011. Holker has also taught at workshops, conventions, and at conferences all over the world. Holker has taken on choreography. Holker was a back-up dancer in the show with Brian Friedman on The X Factor USA. She performed a routine in Dancing with the Stars with Stephen Boss, April 30 2013. Ava DuVernay is a Californian born in Long Beach on the 24th of August, 1972. DuVernay learned to love art from her grandmother Denise. The aunt worked as a nurse who stayed overnight in order to provide her with an opportunity to study and literature, or even theater. DuVernay was exposed to the movie of 1961 West Side Story by her aunt. DuVernay was taught by her the power of art as an avenue for action. DuVernay lived in Compton during the majority of her youth, however she would spend every summer with her father's extended family in Lowndes County Alabama. Antonique Smith, a singer and actress from New Jersey's East Orange in 1983, made her acting debut by playing a small role on the TV series created by Sidney Lulmet 100 Centre Street. Smith started her career in East Orange New Jersey, beginning in 1983. Her first role was on the Sidney Lumet television series 100 Centre Street.
