Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. She is most well known for her role as Violet Plunkett from the CBS comedy series 'Mom.' Calvano originates from California and was first attracted to gymnastics. But, she chose to make a move acting. In 2010, she was first seen on screen with an episode of the CBS series "NCIS.' The big screen debut came a year later with the biographical crime-drama film "J Edgar'. Through the course of time, she has established herself as one of the most promising young actors within the field today. In the 'NCIS' series, her performance which was nominated for the Young Artist Award 2011 for Best Performance in a Television Series with an Guest Actress between the ages of 11-15. In 2013, Calvano was selected again to receive a Young Artist Award. This is for her role on the Disney XD show 'Kickin The 'It'. Calvano was a part of Mom's initial three seasons, and was also a guest on several occasions during the fourth. She won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for the Best Female Actor - Rising Star, thanks to her role in the show 'Mom'.
